Located in Nara's Nishi-Daiji, 'GATEAU DES BOIS' is a renowned patisserie. In France, the home of Western confections, the prestigious pastry competition, 'Coupe du Monde de la Pâtisserie,' is held every two years.

In 1991, Chef Masahiko Hayashi became the first Japanese to win the title of "World Champion," defeating French competitors.

Since then, he has continued to innovate and create new sweets through daily effort and research.

Staying true to his philosophy of "within my reach," the shop currently operates only two locations in Nara's Nishi-Daiji.
