In the summer of 1968, Aoyama Karasutei was opened by Hidetoshi and Keiko Furuya as a Western-style restaurant in Minami Aoyama. The name comes from the mythological Yatagarasu, a three-legged crow that symbolizes good fortune. Interestingly, the crow's legs are represented by forks, and it even wears a little hat.

Our signature Hire Katsu (pork cutlet) sandwich, wrapped in special paper featuring the Yatagarasu, has been cherished for its auspiciousness over the years.

The restaurant is rooted in the chef's childhood memories of dishes made by his grandfather, reflecting a commitment to the essence of Western cuisine at Karasutei.
