The clams from Fukagawa have been prepared in various ways since ancient times and frequently appear in the works of the renowned author Shōtarō Ikenami. Dishes include clam rice bowls with miso and l...ong green onions, as well as clam rice cooked with other ingredients. Our second-generation chef, Haruyoshi, trained as a cook in various regions before the war, and he skillfully brings out the unique flavors of clams to create our original Fukagawa-meshi.

After the war, we temporarily halted service due to various circumstances, but recently, the water quality has improved, allowing us to gather high-quality clams. Through further research and consideration of presentation, we have refined our dish into the current "Honke Fukagawa-meshi," which has received overwhelming praise from our customers, leading to a bustling atmosphere.
